Justin and Emily: The Proposal

Wedding proposals. Ah! Love, sweet love. Admit it, we all get smitten by marriage proposals, a little teary-eyed, even.

The Other Taboo of Miscarriage

"There is often a taboo linked to miscarriage -- one that shouldn’t be there. Women don’t want to talk about their miscarriage experience for many reasons. Usually because it’s a personal and painful experience, and there is often self-blame involved (plus other people can be insensitive)."

Quote of the Day

I'd rather love just a little too much.

High On Love

Falling in love has the same neurological effects with a cocaine high. In both of these cases, an excess of dopamine floods the brain. The more dopamine, the more “on a high” you feel. This is the exact same process that comes with a cocaine high.

Somewhere Like This

"Have you ever found yourself revisiting a chapter of your life when you least expected to? Does the story continue where it last left off?"

Saying "I love you"

“I want to be in a relationship where you telling me you love me is just a ceremonious validation of what you already show me.”
Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free I LOVE YOU in many different languages

If you broke up because of jealousy...

"If jealousy was one of the main causes of the breakup, chances are you will simply repeat this pattern until you begin to tackle the issues that create your jealousy and heal them."

The Distant and Detached Partner

To have and to hold
Q: I have a boyfriend for one and a half years and from the start was strongly attracted to him and loved him deeply. The main issue was his lack of emotional intimacy and communication. I was always open, honest and patient with him, while he always seemed too afraid to let me really know him.

A: People who came from abusive or abandoning relations usually only know dysfunction. They have this tendency to find partners who are ambivalent and hostile; these people fear and reject closeness in spite of their dependent longings. Additionally, the emotional empathy a young girl was not able to get from a critical/withholding parent, such as approval, she usually tries to draw out from a distant-needy partner. This kind of a distant or detached partner comes with challenge to prove her worthiness as a desirable woman who can get the love of the elusive object.

He Saw My Heart From 750 Miles Away

This article is so timely. I actually know someone who's going through something terribly heartbreaking at the moment. Her boyfriend of 3 years, whom she shared a very loving and intimate relationship with, suddenly left her to work overseas. She didn't know he had been planning to do this for several months already. And what's devastating is he never said goodbye, not a single word. She's been trying to reach him via social media, but to no avail. He treats her like a stranger now. She's still in disbelief at the moment.

I let her read this post, it got her crying. Even though she has been wronged, she is still confident she will someday find happiness again.

"Only God could do something that amazing. My message is: Never to stop believing. You never know when, where, or how God will bring that one person into your life that will completely change everything."

Feel Again

Here's an inspiring song from Taio Cruz. It's amazing how much confidence it can give you that no matter how low you feel right now, someday, you'll have it good. Someday, you will heal again. One day, you will feel again.
