Speed dating was invented by a rabbi from Los Angeles in the
year 1999. It was based on a Jewish tradition of chaperoned gatherings of young
Jewish singles.
Psychologists gathered data from over 10,000 speed daters
and have learned that most people make a decision about a person’s attraction within
three seconds of meeting.
